Genesee County's most efficient and cost conscious service available.
STAT Emergency Medical Services, Inc. was founded in 2000 in response to the concern that ambulance service in Genesee County was inadequate to meet the emergency and inter-facility needs of the community.
STAT EMS continues to grow its partnerships with private, Governmental and public organizations, including other EMS services, hospitals, fire/police departments and skilled nursing and rehab facilities. Such partnerships are a key ingredient towards providing both public safety and quality patient care to those in need.
STAT EMS is Nationally Accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Service or CAAS. Accreditation signifies that STAT EMS has met the "gold standard" determined by the ambulance industry to be essential in a modern emergency medical services provider. These standards often exceed those established by state or local regulation. The process included a comprehensive self-assessment and an independent outside review of STAT EMS. This independent process provides verification to the Genesee County Board of Commissioners, city council, medical community and others that quality care is provided to your community.
STAT EMS is contracted to provide EMS services to the cities of Linden and Fenton. STAT deploys ambulances to the southern Genesee County communities and is the only EMS service in the county to coordinate emergency responses with AVL and 800 MHz with direct dispatching from Fenton 911 center.
STAT EMS is a licensed Proprietary School with the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth, and the State of Michigan Department of Education. STAT is affiliated with Hurley Medical Center with Dr. Mark Wilkerson, DO, serving as the Medical Director for their agency and all EMS education programs. STAT EMS Education employs 3 full time instructors and currently provides CPR/AED, Medical First Responder, EMT-Basic, and Paramedic courses. In late 2009 STAT EMS Education Department and students have achieved a 91% pass rate at the National Registry and achieves less than 3% attrition rate in its courses.
STAT EMS expects to respond to more than 40,000 requests in 2010.
With more than 130 ambulance personnel, support staff and 32 vehicles, STAT EMS is large enough to have extensive reach, yet small enough to still offer personal and customized medical care and services.
Our commitment is to provide our personnel with the most advanced equipment and
supplies, as well as ongoing continued and specialty education. Our management
prides itself on reliability and continues to spend countless hours creating an internal
continuous quality improvement (CQI) program which provides for prospective and
retrospective review of patient care practices. As a result, our organization
is continuously monitoring clinical advancements in pre-hospital care and patient
transportation, pursuing the latest equipment, technology, and operating practices
that improve our ability to deliver the most efficient and cost conscious service
available.
